Undocumented Students

La información contenida en esta sección es estrictamente para estudiantes indocumentados. La Fundación Escolar Abilene (AEF) no mantiene records de ningún estudiante o familias que obtienen información en esta página.

 

TASFA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid)
  • Esta forma es solo para estudiantes indocumentados que viven en Texas.
  • Esta forma debe ser llenada en forma impresa en papel.

 

Para calificar para este tipo de ayuda el estudiante debe de haber:

  • Residido con un padre o tutor durante su asistencia a la escuela preparatoria en Texas.
  • Graduado de una escuela preparatoria pública o privada en Texas.
  • Residido en Texas durante los tres años conductivos a su graduación.
  • Verificado que la escuela a la cual el estudiante está aplicando acepta la ayuda TASFA. La lista completa de escuelas que aceptan la ayuda TASFA esta enlistada en el Appendix A de la solicitud.
  • Proveído al colegio o universidad una declaración firmada indicando su intención de solicitar cambio a residencia permanente tan pronto como le sea posible.

TASFA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid)
  • This form is only for students who are not documented and living in Texas.
  • This form must be filled out in paper form.

 

To qualify for this type of aid your student must have:

  • Resided with a parent or guardian while attending high school in Texas.
  • Graduated from a public or private high school in Texas.
  • Resided in Texas for the three years leading to graduation.
  • Checked to see if the school he/she is applying to will accept the TASFA. You can find the complete list of schools who accept TASFA in Appendix A of the application.
  • Provided the college a signed affidavit indicating intent to apply for permanent residence status as soon as able to do so.

  • DREAM Act Portal: This site provides access to information and resources available to a group of young people collectively referred to as dreamers, as defined by the Dream Act. Resources include information regarding obtaining in-state tuition for state colleges and universities.
  • State of Texas Residency Questionnaire: Texas provides a means for dreamers to access information about how to obtain state residency for the purpose of obtaining state financial aid, military enlistment and more.
  • National Council of La Raza: NCLR is a Hispanic civil rights and advocacy group whose mission is to improve the lives of all Hispanics in the United States, documented and undocumented. La Raza is a coalition of over 300 community based groups providing educational resources.
